    Default A country song I can't find

    Hi,

Heard a Country song a long time ago and now I can't seem to find it.

I remember it was a male artist, and the song was about all the things he doesn't understand in this world. He also "talks" to God and says he doesn't understand those things.

Things like why do children starve to death while other people are very rich, etc...

If I'm not wrong, in the song he sings something like "I don't understand those things, but you (God) were in this world before...".

    I appreciate your help.
    Thank you.

This is probably not the song, but close in its sentiment. Never having heard this song, I don't know if it's a country song or not. (Personally, this song is rather negative about God, although I can understand how a person without strong faith could waiver if their own child was killed, as this song says.) I could not find it on YouTube:

"Father and God" by Apprentice Bards

    I always tried to understand,
Who has our faith in hand,
Made up my mind if god is out there,
Now I know - if he is - he doesn't care.

Seeing your body again on this table,
So full with joy and happy you were,
A person which everyone liked and respected,
If god is out there I know - he doesn't care.

Tell me dear god - if you are alive,
Why do always the bad survive?
Why people have to starve each day,
Don't you hear your children pray?

My daughter was not the only one,
Who died out there on the streets at night,
Shot by a crazy, insane or fanatic,
I will find him - and then he'll see the light.

Tell me dear god - if you are alive,
Why do always the bad survive?
Why people have to starve each day,
Don't you hear your children pray?

Life took my wife and my daughter away,
And I see it makes no sense to pray,
My weapon I take - and out I go,
I swear if I find him - he will die slow...
