    Default God?

    GOD?

    There's something very wrong
This world ain't what it used to be
Something I can feel, but I cannot see
    Is it God?

    Is time fast or slow?
    Will we ever know?
Or will we die before we ever turn around?
    See what's coming

    Maybe it's nothing
    Paranoia, insanity, ****ing useless wondering
But if there's something to this
    I hope I die before I see what's coming
    Don't turn around

    Life is a chaotic song
That's been forced into my ears, my brain
Once I did feel it was meant to entertain
Me, and the idea that everything's okay
    But something's very wrong
    That song... is it God?

Where the hell do we go?
When the song begins to slow?
    Into a viola-driven sound
    We'll hear it coming
Cause it will be all around
No need to turn around now

    There's something very wrong
This world ain't what it used to be
Something I can feel, but I cannot see
    Is it God?

Wow, love this, love the theme and ideas, non-cliche and clever

I reviewed this on another forum. But talk about God always interests me. I don't know if there is a God or if God is simply a man-made concept. I have thought both ways.

Thank you. "Non-cliche and clever" are among the best compliments a poet can recieve, so I appreciate it.

I have plenty of lyrics and poems that talk of the non-existance of God (or gods). This one comes closer to actually accepting that there is a God than I've ever gone before, even if this vision of God is a yet unseen, though potentially destructive force.

I enjoy talk of God, as well. It awakens the philosopher in me, as it should.

    Thank you.
