Really nice song !
Dive (Krister Linder & Erik Holmberg)
Album: Where the River Turns to Sea 1990 (Polygram & Mercury)
Same Old Town
It's closing time at Shaggy John's Cafe
Life goes on -
Here all different kinds of people spend their afternoons
Dreaming on -
Spend it here on planet earth
Refugees from a lost time
Washed up on the same shore
or the same old bar,
Trying to count the stars.
Look at the old man
Still around after all these years
Still counting the rounds and cheers*
Looks like he's comfortable here
In the same old town,
In the same old town.
Lights go down, the small town falls asleep
Safe and sound
Through the TV set they travel all around the world
Safe at home
Afterall, who wants to risk
getting lost in the jungle?
The old man in his living room
seems quite amused
by the small town blues.
What is the world - explore.
Waitin' there for the ones who love it
Offering all the fruits within it
Maybe I'm too comfortable here
In the same old town, in the same old town.
Waitin' there for the ones who love it
Offering all the fruits within it
Maybe I'm too comfortable here
In the same old town, in the same old town.
Forgotten town. Lonely town.
Still around after all these years
Still counting the rounds and cheers
Looks like he's comfortable here
In the same old town.
In the same old town.
[Couldn't catch first line of the next bit in the video ( I'll keep trying) but here's what I could make out:]
Travelling by night
Leaving first light (?)
Storms ahead, storms ahead
This is the voice calling you
This is your life -
explorer, explorer,explorer.
Note: 'rounds and cheers'
a round - in the sense of a being in a pub or bar, a round means a 'round of drinks' - i.e. when everyone takes turns in buying their friends a drink. 'cheers' An English toast like Prosit! (German) 'Skol', (Scandinavia). You can use the gaelic 'Slainte' in Scotland.

Thank you bluejacket, I really appreciate your help.
Here's what I heard
Stranded here on planet earth
Refugees from...
This is the first time
It is the last
Travelling by night time
Leaving the past
Storm's ahead
Storm's ahead
This is the voice, comunicate
This is your life, experiment
Appreciate, explore, explore, explore, explore..
Your welcome Tikal.
Yep, think that's it.; although I still hear 'explorer, explorer, explorer, explorer, explore' at the end - but the '-er' I hear might be an artifact of a Swedish accent........
This is the first time
It is the last
Travelling by night time
Leaving the past
Storms ahead *
Storms ahead
This is the voice, communicate (two m's in 'communicate' - I know I am a picky so-and-so !
This is your life, experiment
Appreciate, explore, explore, explore, explore, explorer.
*(I assume this is a definite statement - storms ahead, not Storm's 'storm is ahead' which is what's implied by the apostrophe.
