Lonely Roads

driving in this car on this lonely road again
thinking of what can and can’t be said to friends
another alone journey
more of social learning
slowly burning from the hatred inside
its just the way us people start to think
when survival is finally on the brink

cold souls
lonely roads
thinking it through

a passer by flashes his lights at me
i look behind me to what he’s seen
it’s a happy tourist
honking his horn
my deep thoughts left my ears cold
not hearing a sound or what’s been spoken
so i let the tourist past leaving the road open

on another day i travel this same road
there’s the same signs still as cold
nothing changes
not matter what
so we have to live with what we got
survival is true but it can be fake
our lives is what of it we make

the coldest souls
on the loniest roads
us dead people
think so much more
