The prey becomes the hunted

soon one would be dead

Everyone is in the race called life
and at some point there will be sacrifice
backstabbing in motion, Killing in action
Chaos and hunger are just some of the problems

Some people survive on love
they are in a dream state
Others are fueled by hate
Cause the prey is the hunted
and the hunters are in for the kill

Nobody ever thought of the consequences
these actions lead us to lose our senses
Using words as swords and thoughts as shield
Everyone is in for the kill
We are just in for the kill

Cause everyone is in the race called life

Inspiration: The song is about how everyone has their nasty side and self-centered-ness sometimes
How sometimes nobody ever reflect on their actions if their actions are best for themselves
Even though along the way they may hurt some people
They just lose their basic morals
We are in a fast-pace society where people want power and satisfaction for their material needs
But don't forget those who had help you and raised you up to where you are now

Reminds me of the politics going on in this country.

Same here Jim. But sadly, not just the politics? It's almost like "we" (as a whole) are just getting what we deserve
(But if anybody quotes me on that, I'll deny it till my last breath ^-^)

Weirdguyflavour, I might recommend a little something different to end the line "Chaos and hunger..." like maybe "...are just part of the price"?

I am glad that someone else can relate to the song in another way, As a teen in my own country, I never look at political matters so this is comment is really cool
