The song was sung by a woman. It started off with her voice kind of low until the music really kicked in and then she sung the same lyrics, I think, louder along with the music. I want to say the chorus was something like "oh, OH, peeeeople. ease my mind through you", but I've looked for those lyrics all over the net and things similar to them. If I had to guess a genre it sounded electronic/pop I guess. It's been killing me for months.

Never mind, I found it thanks to a little more push in my search. Song was "DJ, Ease My Mind". I was kinda close with the lyrics. =]
