I read through this 4 times so far and every time more meaning came through. it looks short at first but it's really not. I like the open to me message. I never read just once. I really like this! Well done!

Magnífico-mente! This is exquisitely superb. My one favorite line:

Take me to your secret beauty, let your soldiers go

In my mind, there's a whole book in those 10 words.

I would make just one tiny suggestion. If it were me, in the 2nd line I would use "masking" instead of "mask of". That's a bit more standard in English vernacular. But in the singing of the song, it may not matter at all.

Well, in total honesty I was gonna list that as my 2nd favorite part, and I mean the whole verse... while having it in mind that we absolutely need to let the soldiers go before we can get to those "tears of sweet abandon" and into the "holy book".

And isn't it tragically ironic that very few religious teachings ever get to the raw and simple truth of that.

I keep returning to this and rereading it....this lyric creates want......um....that's pretty dam good.....
