Dschinghis Khan is so bad... but so good.

If there are any mistakes, please let me know! I'm a bit rusty with translating.

    ---

Ho-hey, ho-hey, lightning strikes through the night
Ho-hey, ho-hey, the tempest comes into power,
Und ein kleiner Funke wird zum Steppenbrand
and a little spark becomes a wildfire

    Das Unheil nimmt seinen Lauf
    The disaster takes its course,
and the guard sees the wall of fire from afar
Und schreit: Ho Hey, wacht auf!
    and screams, "Ho-hey, wake up!"

Brennende Taiga, la la la la
Burning Taiga, la la la la
Hölle auf Erden, la la la la
Hell on Earth, la la la la
Männer auf Pferden, la la la la
Men on horses, la la la la
    Wer hat vorm Teufel Angst
    Who fear before the devil

Brennende Taiga, la la la la
Burning Taiga, la la la la
Legt sich zu Erden, la la la la
Settles down (in)to dirt, la la la la
Wer will schon sterben, la la la la
Who wants to die soon, la la la la
    Reite so schnell du kannst
Ride, as fast as you can

    Taiga, Taiga, Tränen machen blind
    Taiga, Taiga, tears blind you
Reite weiter schneller als der Wind
Ride, further, faster than the wind

Ho-hey, ho-hey, the horizon is red
Ho-hey, ho-hey, who hasn't yet escaped is dead
But the storm drives smoke and flames towards them
    Und bald sind sie eingekreist
    and soon they're encircled,
and they already feel the glow on their skin
So wild, so stark und heiß
so wild, so strong and hot

Brennende Taiga, la la la la
Burning Taiga, la la la la
Hölle auf Erden, la la la la

    Taiga, Taiga, Leben oder Tod
    Taiga, Taiga, life or death
    Reite weiter bis zum Morgenrot
Ride, further, until (you reach) the red of morning

    Und gleich hinterm Horizont
    and soon, under the horizon,
    Reiten sie dem Tod davon
    they ride from their death

Brennende Taiga, la la la la

When they sing about the TAIGA, they do not mean a tiger. They are singing about the Taiga, which is a special area of woods in Russia

Thank you! That makes much more sense, given the Russian flavor of their music. I was thinking in Japanese, where Taiga is, indeed, a fancy way of transliterating the word "tiger."

Edited the original to reflect the change.

    Better?

Ho-hey, ho-hey, the tempest takes over
    or
    Ho-hey, ho-hey, the tempest overcomes
Gott zur Ehr, dem nächsten zur Wehr

What if they gave a fire and nobody came.
