    Default take me away

painful home full of painful words
nothing done cause i cant discern
    fell behind and cant return
these are more than empty words

    my hands
    they're not that strong
    but my feet
    they'll carry on
    cause i know
    someday,
    you'll take me away

aching heart and an aching mind
beaten down i wont fall in line
running fast running out of time
    running down a narrow line

    and
    my hands
    they're not that strong
    but my feet
    they'll carry on
    cause i know
    someday,
    you'll take me away

far from here where the sun is shining
    nothing there but silver linings
no more room for empty crying
no more days of wishful dying
the day you take me away

Phil, this is good, real good. The refrain is excellent, the rhythm almost hypnotic. Coming from a drummer, that's high praise!

The refrain is the part that's repeated, also know as the chorus, but not restricted to "a chorus".the refrain in this starts:
    My hands
    They're not that strong
    But my feet
They'll carry on and so on.

Phil, there are no stupid questions,it's only stupid NOT TO ASK!!I'll answer your PM soon.I'm giving it some thought.

Oh course Doug is correct he's always right. Any way great song I like the refrain as well it really works with the song as a whole.
There is not enough space or time to truly let the song unwind
