"Turn me on, don't switch me off" - WHO SINGS THIS SONG?!

Hi guys - I was wondering if anyone could help me out with the artist/title of a particular song I've been hearing out at clubs lately ... one line in particular goes:

"Turn me on, don't switch me off"

And I think another part says "You can take my picture" ... and perhaps, "you can get one too".

I would classify the genre of music as House.


Can SOMEONE please help me find this song!!! I've been doing google searches and can't find anything, so it would be awesome if someone knew this song.

does the song have things like ooh la la la in it? It sounds to me like you're thinking about the song ooh la la by goldfrapp but I'm not sure.

To be honest, I'm not sure ... I don't think so. Does the song you're thinking of have those lines I mentioned in it?

yeah it does but it goes switch me on, turn me off but it sounds like what you're desciribing. How does the beat go? is it kind of electro poppish?

yeah sure. The song title is Ooh La La and it's by a group called Goldfrapp from the album supernature. Hope that's the one!

You are a legend ... thank you for posting in this thread so long after I created it!

Since then, I actually went and saw Sneaky Sound System play live, (last Friday night), and it was only when they played that song that I realised it was them who sang it! It was so awesome ... I have posted this same thread in numerous music forums and have had no response whatsoever. I think it's mainly because Sneaky are an Australian band and the forums I have been posting in are, I presume, American/UK dominated, so therefore they wouldn't be familiar with this fantastic band (just yet!). So it was fantastic standing at the very front of the crowd, as close as you can get, and all of a sudden the beautiful Miss Connie starts singing the words to the song I've been desparately trying to identify for weeks now ...
