    Default Rotterdam 7 a.m.

The night strips bare of its heavy velvet dress
The light of the morning brings a touch of tenderness
And as I walk I can see the stars
    One by one fading away

The break of day has cleared away the gloom
The course of this night will be forgotten soon
But not for me, it might have been
    A turning point in history

Chorus: Much has been about a love I could not keep
But there won't be any more tears to weep
And I'll find my way in Rotterdam 7 am
I'll find my way in Rotterdam 7 am

The open all night kept me all night long
Playing in my head some old forgotten song
They used to play in better days
When we would say 'Love will conquer all"

A cold morning wind chills me to the bone
Five more minutes and then I'll reach my home
An image of you invading my heart
But now I know it is not love I feel

Looks good! Lots of great lines. I'm gonna mull this one over and get back to ya with a proper critique. Nice read.

Ah man, I really enjoyed this. Deep with simple structures, with an thought provoking title as well. The song slightly reminds me of "No More Amsterdam" by Steve Vai, and I nearly got the same feeling for this one

It took me a while to figure out the melody (in my head) but once I found it, fell in love! Excellent lyrics on every level!

Thanks a lot, guys!! Your comments give me an enormous boost. I always felt a bit insecure about my English. Now I'm beginning to believe it's good enough for expressing my thoughts and feelings in lyrics. I hope my next posts can live up to your expectations ;-)
