    Question zilevo- giorgos mazonakis *

Please, can you help me with the lyrics of this song: Zilevo played by Giorgos Mazonakis? I'm interested in the english translation first. I'd like to see the lyryis in greek, also (but not with the greek alphabet), but first, I want to understand what he says!!
    Thank you very much!

    Pai pali pende,para pende
ργησες καρδιά μου, στην υγειά μου
    rgises kardia mu,stin igia mu
    Ξέσπασα

Πήγε πλέον έξι, ποιός ν αντέξει

κι έχω γίνει χάλια και μπουκάλια
ki exo gini xalia ki boikalia

    Ζηλεύω, ζηλεύω
    Zilevo,zilevo
εσένα π' αγαπάω και λατρεύω, ζηλεύω
    esena p'agapao ke latrevo,zilevo
Μου λείπεις και τα σπάω και χορεύω, ζηλεύω
mu lipis ke ta spao ke xorevo, zilevo
    Γιατί ακόμα θέλω ν' αγαπώ
    giati akoma telo n'agapo
    Ζηλεύω, ζηλεύω

Μου λείπεις και τα σπάω και χορεύω, ζηλεύω

veronika, thank you very much! I've developed an obsession for this song in the last few days! I knew the song for a few years, but now it hit me!!
At least now, i can pretend to mumble the words while listening! Thank you again!
And if someone, please, has the time to provide me with the translation, i'd be very grateful!

Now it's 6, who can stand this?

    Lilian, SAGAPO!!!!!!!
I didn't expect you to be on-line now, and I could only hope that you'll see my message and you'll help me with Zilevo, someday!
Funny thing: while listening the song, and not understanding any word but zilevo(which I found in a dictionary) I had the feeling that there is something about love and drinking and madness and sadness because of love. I had this strong impression that the singer has the voice of an upset, maybe drunk, tired, upset, sad man.... Now, when reading your translation, line by line, I kept telling myself: yes, that's exactly what I expected him to say!...Your translation came as a confirmation of my guessing. Strange.... Maybe Greek language together with Greek music have a way of transmitting certain messages beyond the literal understanding of the words.
    Efharisto!!!!!

Later edit: does this song, Zilevo, have a video?

I bookmarked the site, so as not to miss it!

    I think that this
Maybe Greek language together with Greek music have a way of transmitting certain messages beyond the literal understanding of the words.
is irrelevant to greek music and lyrics. It has to do with the singer and how he performs. If he feels it, the message will be understood by the audience, even if they don't understand the language. I myself shudder when listening to a song called "O Pastor", by Madredeus, but I have no idea what the lyrics say! I think it's portugese.
Anyway, I got off-topic! Have fun with Zilevo!

I think there is a video of the song, where Mazonakis sings live at a night-club.
But I don't have it and I don't know where you could find it.. sorry!

I agree it has to do with the singer first! If he is not convincing, the song is doomed. But there is something about this kind of greek music, that gives you the impression of getting the main idea without understanding the words. I think it's about creating certain sensations for the one listening.

Thanks for the info, i'll keep searching for the video
