This year I'd like to write poetry inspired by pics which , of course, can be seen.

true friendship
smells like apple blossom
in the Garden of Eden

entangled shrewdly
like a spiderweb
in natures'lap

in between the carton walls
play little girls with little dolls
feet in mud and water brown
shamefull quarter of a town
yet the sky above is blue
the air is damp, the sun shines, true
but in my heart I'm raving mad
'coz little dolls is all they had

feelings
feelings are like clouds
colours mingle, turn around
just like roundabouts
take me of the ground
on the beach I walk
keeping the sky company
to myself I talk
wond'ring where is she
feelings strain my heart
colours mingle, and at night
slowly drift apart
while I await the light -
the earth showed its face
it was holocaust day
an unstoppable pace,
all was fading away
not wanting to hear
what's happening around
a child hides his ears
from a terrible sound
a ghosttown it is
on this planet somewhere
please open your eyes,
all is withering there
though
nobody laughs, nobody cries:
the silence of birds
will tell you no lies

I think the saying is,"Home is where you hang your Hat."Either way,since your hat usually goes on your head,it's has the same meaning.Unless you pull your hat down over your face,as I regularly do.'(See "Walking Contradiction)I always try to plug my work whenever possible!

nightmare
life keeps grinning at me,
a weird but honest grin
something's getting at me
don't know the mood I'm in
I feel like holding my breathe
behold the twinkling stars
find courage just to relax
spend time in coffee bars
that kind of life seems a dream
I am a kid without toys
a dying species we are
allowed the simplest of joys
robots and barbies will live
and dumps long after we've gone
who will ever forgive
what to ourselves we have done?

documentaries I recently have seen.

Yes, amaryn, I like the idea of being inspired by reality. So many realities can be brought to our attention by way of documentaries--things we would otherwise not know in such detail. In the world of satellite TV and computers, we are not at a lack to be informed.

I truely must admit that it means blood sweat and tears , as I want the words to reflect in the picture and vice versa. First I was afraid it drraws the attention too much away from the words, but after all, we live indeed in a visual world, so that should not be a problem

Although I'm a big fan of your writing......I liked it better when I could count on an Owl or two in your words.Lately,it's all been depressing!See if you could throw us something light,once in a while!

the mouse and the owl
a mouse saw an owl on the branch of a tree
"why", said the mouse, "are you staring at me?"
"well"said the owl"I am hungry my friend,
I will soon have to eat you, do you understand?".
"but I have a soul, so you can't be so cruel,
they say you are wise, but you would be a fool",
"okay"said the owl," I'll let you go,
I'll make an exception, the only one though",
"thanks"said the mouse, "I'll get you some cheese",
the owl at it all, took a nap, was at ease

two owls in san francisco
"Take a tram, I recommend it" said an owl to his old friend
"if you want we'll go together; first to Chinatown they went,
there they had some Chinese noodles mixed with bits of pickled rat,
used their wings instead of chopsticks, at their table beatniks sat,
"meet you guys" they said when leaving heading for the Golden Gate
had no money for the tram though, and they didnot want to wait
flying high over the city finally returning home
they felt both sure 'bout their friendship , never would they be alone
