Always & Forever

Another poem with some quick music behind it. I apologize for this not being in the poetry section, I just feel like it wouldn't get as much attention.



As love is lost, a new love is found
But one love withers into the ground
One moves forward, the other stands still
Clutching the heart that the other killed

To break a man, to cripple his soul
To tear apart his mind as a whole
You’ll take a life, before risking your own
You’ll watch him bleed, rip the stitches sown

Questioning faith and himself as well
Was it real or fake, Heaven or Hell?
He’ll never know, even if he tries
To the grave he’ll take, the love that died

To pick up the pieces, to pick up the pain
To re-write the words that kept him sane
I’ll keep the saying that we said together
I’ll love you…always...and forever

Although I originally wrote it just as a poem, I'd love to hear anyone's take on it in song form. If you hear some music in your head feel free to do something with this. I honestly never really put much thought into writing music for it. Might be something to start thinking about...
