Hi I am looking for the album and exact title of a song from the late 70's early 80's
I thought the song was called "lady from the USA" by a British band. I thought the band was 707 but I could be wrong and cant find it. THANKS

Hi Marian Jordan Sassi~
Well I found one possibility........album is called 'Strange Man, Changed Man' and the artist/composer is Bram Tchaikovsky. Here's a review found on allmusic.com about the album and a few more details:
Album Label: Radar
Year: 1979
Hope this helps!

707 was a great band back in the 70's. This was their biggest hit I remember, but I can't seem to find the name of the album. I'll keep looking.
I Could Be Good For You
I COULD BE GOOD FOR YOU
(McFadden, McClarty)
Do you believe that you're on your own
Searching in vain for a closer friend
Love isn't blind, and you're not alone
Those heart-breaking days may have reached an end
Chorus:
I could be good for you, my my
I could be good for you, my my
So you're star-struck, living for the stage
You need a change of luck, that can be arranged
Consider your fate, think about your age
There's no time to wait for your luck to change
(chorus)
(Solo)
What you do now isn't my concern
Just let me know how you survive out there
I want you to know, I may not return
If you care to go, I'll take you anywhere
(chorus repeats 2x) - my my my
I could be good for you, I could be good for you
Hi Marian Jordan Sassi~
If it was 707 and the song posted by jetstew, I couldn't think of the name of the album either, but I knew they did not release anything until the 80s. Everything I can find on that debut album featuring "I Could Be Good For You" says it was after signing with Casablanca and was not until 1980 (AOL music, RockReport, etc,).
