The Nameless Poet And His Deathbed

Death looms like vultures,
Over the wounded prey.
He lies there knowing,
They don't even know his name.

Self-medication, has lead him here.
The pills can't cover it,
The sorrow is too clear.
Hospitalized again,
Another suicide attempt.
Misery's his only friend.

Counting down
To the final scene.
His body's cold and grey.
Winding down,
His mortality
He takes his final breath today.

Self-degradation, humiliation
Regretting everything
He's ever done.
He wait for this to end
Numbing with Oxycontin
He broke before he'd ever bend.

Very clever,uplifting song!Seriously,this although sad,is the making of an outstanding song.Kinda Neil Young-ish in style and I could imagine him singing these very lyrics.What more can I say.Excellent account,this is a stand out.

Hm, I really enjoyed this. And it actually hit me at some points. And to me, it really felt like an inspired version of this epic masterpiece
