    Default Forever Today, Forever Tomorrow

    My face is the mask I hide behind
    It deceives those who look at me
    But deep inside I am not free
    I am bound to all of which you can't see
    And I cannot escape the void it creates
    It tightens upon me like a hot summer breeze
    It wraps around the essence which is me
    And suffocates the very air that I breathe
    Leaving me so weightless, so hopeless
    That I find myself waiting for something
    Something that may never come
    Something that may never walk my way
    But I will keep holding on to this mask
    Forever today, and Forever tomorrow

    A friend of mine that I philosophize with helped me come up with this truth of humanity, we all hide behind our "masks" because we fear others will dislike what lies within. It is our hope and our dream to be able to rip this mask off and show the world who we truly are but it will remain forever today and forever tomorrow.

    It's a poem for now but will probably become a song

    Hi John! But of course, my friend! Masks it is we live behind, we cannot even be honest to ourselves as it would be too dangerous to face the facts;
    this is why we keep dreaming and hoping: it makes it all more bearable.
    Thanks for digging deep- you were courageous enough to admit we all need masks.
