The song or the video with the explanation?
होता है जो होना है ... वक़्त ही शायद खुदा है ...
कौन कहता है आदमी अपनी किस्मत खुद लिखता है?
Well he says, that its not his song but an old song from the 70th (this seems to be the original http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CP0bBxajlr8 ). He further talks about his father, who is also a musician. His father goes on vacation to a german north-sea-island since 1966 and invented there something called "dune singing". He's just sitting in the dunes...singing :P And by now a few hundret poeple gather there to sing with him. It started with Beatles or Cat Stevens songs and chanson and "An Rosalinde" is there aswell by now. Johannes says he grew up with this songs and Rosalinde is a song he heard since he can remember. And as he where producing the album he wanted to do something with his father aswell, because he teached him so much about music and influenced him to make music himself. So he drove home to his fathers place, stood there in the livingroom with him and recordet the song.
Thants the story behind Rosalinde. If you want the lyrics to be translated aswell say so
Here's the translation. Not perfect for sure but you'll get the idea
Come, oh come, oh come, Rosalinde,
dark is the house without you.
Oh, we miss you so, Rosalinde,
everyone is sitting alone for himself.
Even the siskin stops singing
and the pendulum of the big clock,
stops swinging back and forth.
Rosalinde, when will you coming!
Strong and brown are your legs,
and your skirt is colorful like a dream.
Many specks, dirty (and) small,
looking down from it's seam.
Walk into the house, make large puddles
with the umbrella and with the shoes.
Don't leave us high and dry,
Rosalinde, you can't do that!
Jörg and Gustav have written:
„Our ship will arrive without us.
We have stayed in Australia,
because you can make some money here.
Don't be sad, greet Rosalinde
and the harbor and Uncle Jan
and the worn-out capstan
in front of the sailor's home next door!"
Come, oh come, oh come, Rosalind,
Tell us where Australia lies,
if Koalas and Kangaroos
and tamed snakes can be found there.
Look, the door flies open, and it's her,
(she) laughs and shakes the rain off,
(she) makes bread and cheese and eats it
and licks her fingers clean.
