Faceless

It was a normal day and then the light came
Brighter than the sun, eyes were blinded
The darkness soon crept in
And from that moment on
No light shinned through
No light could make things new
The world fell into the void
A desolate world it had now become
And all that could be heard was the murmurs
That came from the faceless people
The heat had burned away all of their skin
Leaving behind only the remnant
Of what once was a human
They wandered the streets aimlessly
Searching for someone to help them
But death was their only hope now
Nothing else could save them


This is the world this is the darkness
Constantly looking for the next great thing
While rapidly approaching the inevitable death
It seems even when we take our last breath
We still search for a way to take others
One day this darkness will no long exist
But it will take a power beyond all
To penetrate its ever growing thickness
Today we have to realize
Instead of building a bomb we may never use
We should be building a better world
One void of holes and abnormality
Unfortunately such a place is beyond us
We need help from the Guy we choose to deny
He is our only hope

Yeah haha, I was reading this article about the "ant-walking alligator " which was a name given to people who's faces were melted away by the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima and still managed to survive they couldn't talk they would just murmur, and they would wander the streets searching for help but they died soon after.

Ironically that's the name of a sic-Fi flick of the 50's: the Alligator Men.
