A couple of songs

I'm looking for help identifying a couple of songs... I don't have much to go on, but I'll give it a shot...

1. I actually wrote down some lyrics to this one so I could find it later, but I lost what I wrote, and now I don't remember them anymore. It was an indie/alternative-sounding song with a female singer. The lyrics included "baby, baby," I think right before or at the beginning of the chorus. I also recall especially noticing the drums. Kind of reminded me of the song "You've Got Time," by Regina Spektor. Probably had romantic lyrics?

2. Another female singer, a very big, upbeat, danceable pop song. I think "preacher" might have been one of the words? Reminded me of the song "Heartstrings" by Janet Leon.
