I’d say I miss you, but did I even know you?

One of these days.
I’ll know what its like, to see it through your eyes,
to see the world inside.
Things unknown, things have changed,
I know they’ll never be the same.
But they could still be something beautiful, we could be something no one else could be.
One of these days.

Expectations dont line up with reality and sometimes its hard to see,
That the little things are what make you, you and me, me.
Our views may be conflicting, but opposites attract.
After all this time, we are still intact.
Im a little worn down from you running through my mind,
not just once, but all the time.

One of these days.
I’ll hold you til the break of day, and watch you as you sleep,
Refusing to let go until the sun begins to creep.
Watch you dream your pretty dreams and maybe dream myself,
Of flashing lights and gates of white and the stories we will tell.
Though time is always changing, I think we should stay the same,
cause something about the way I feel is driving me insane.

One of these days.
You take me for who I am, and who I want to be.
I am more than meets the eye
and that’s something you can see.
While everyone else is miserable, we’re making history.
Through dazed states and long nights, through tears and laughter too,
Where you go, I’ll go.
Darling, we could be something beautiful.
We will be something beautiful, I have no doubt about it.
