Default You’re My Memory Of This Town And Its Fading Fast

You’re my memory of this town and its fading fast
Like the fleeting light as streetlights flash
Underneath the bleachers the homecoming queen
    Whispers “At last”

And the coach screams out lines of fire
As the jocks wipe their eyes.
    The crowd’s roar is hushed
    As john points and blushes
The teams begging to dim the lights.
But baby my bark is worse than their bite.
    Together were alright
    Tonight were alright
    Were alright_

Tina and the girls roll up half late.
Nothing short of being on time.
They roll up their pants and take the floor
While nicks on the wall, trying to muster up a little something to ask for more.
    He walks across the floor
And meets Tina at the door
And begs her for her last one
    It really made my night_
    Were alright
    Together were alright
    Were alright_

    The greaser’s downtown
    Crouch under the hood
    With greased out 501 jeans
The radio plays Glory days like I’m your boss tonight
Together we turn this big old wrench
In this small dead beat town
    But it’s all right
    Alright
    Alright

You’re my memory of this town and its fading fast
Like the fleeting light as streetlights flash
Underneath the bleachers the homecoming queen
    Whispers “At last”

    Well now Tina dropped off
Never finished much and was always half late.
The jocks went on, but could never let go
Of the glory they had so long ago.
    The greasers greased themselves out
Callused hands and jeans too worn-out to wear.

You’re my memory of this town and its fading fast
Like the fleeting light as streetlights flash
Underneath the bleachers the homecoming queen
    Whispers “At last”

I drove down your road today.
I got a feeling that you weren’t away.
Took me back to a simple place.
    Warm air, shawl lace.
A scream of lust on a pretty face.

    No matter how many times
    I drive by
It aint going to make it right

    No matter how many times
    I drive by
It aint going to make it right

    No matter how many times
    I drive by
It aint going to make it right

    But tonight baby
    Im all right.

This is Art!Your lyrics paint a colorful picture and the rhythm is right there. My only suggestion is change the title to "Memory Of This Town".
