Help me find this country song from the 90's

I can't remember any lyrics. I just remember what it was about. It was a man singing, kind of a slow nice song. It was about a man and I think he was in some kind of rodeo or maybe he was a performer and he came back every year (summer? maybe a county fair) and he always met up with this girl. Then in the end I think she showed up with his kid.
