Well in my opinion, your opinion goes a long way.

More from the 80s, circa 1986: These guys were a teensy bit overshadowed by INXS, but I loved 'em anyway.

CORRECTION: That album (with those two songs) was released in 1978. But, I didn't know anything at all about The Cars till around 1986, when several of their biggest hits were getting a lot of airtime all over again. So I made an honest mistake up there?

On the other hand, I have never in my life heard of "Gossip". But I'm guessing someone I know really well might know them really well.

And "Heavy Cross" is a mighty fine song, no doubt!

Default 1964 (plus or minus a few) - Part 1

Not all of the tunes in this series of posts (not necessarily in consecutive sequence) were released in 1964, but it was obviously a landmark year in Rock 'n' Roll history.
    _________

Written by JOHN LENNON. Just for the record.
    (I'm not a McCartney fan.)

Oh! Who's this on the lead vocal?!?
    Hint: It's not...

This video is "Lo-Fi", but does it matter at all?

    ____________

(I'll post "1964 Part 2" in a day or two. Don't wanna "crowd the scene" too much.)

Not the Beach Boys, but the song was co-written by Brian Wilson. 1963, Jan & Dean.

Sorry for violating 'Hall of Fame' mode up there It's just that my personal music zone extends so far out that sometimes it's really hard for me to focus

Like this song, was mostly made famous by Soft Cell (?) but then this Industrial/Metal cover by M.M. showed up in the soundtrack of 'Not Another Teen Movie'....then was released in their album 'The Golden Age of Grotesque'. DEFO my favorite version!! Posting this lyrics video bcs I'm guessing that the 'official' video may be blocked in some countries.....

But idk.....I also love to think that 'Rock' is not universally western and sometimes I push the envelope just to probe for whatever else someone may come up with....

and I'm posting this one because of the great home-made video as much as the music ....bcs altogether it's so FUSION I just can't resist. But be warned, after about 3:35 it gets unnecessarily gross.....sick.....rude.....

And then you go and add Steve Miller and the Doobie Brothers. 'T would be nice if I could make this page small enough to frame and hang on a wall.

Dzomba, that particular video is blocked in the USA. But no worries mate, I found this one.
And it's a GREAT ADD! Another one of my BIG forgotten-favorites from the 80s. Glad you brought it in, coz I never woulda remembered the name of the band or the song.
