What is this obscure song and the band who recorded that I heard in the 1970s?

I heard a fragment of a song on the radio, back around 1976-1979, never heard it again but remember it distinctly. Description: pounding bass drum, around 70 bpm, guitar chord every 4th beat, with a vocalist repeating (saying, not singing) the word “animal” in time with the beat. For example: “Animal… animal, animal… animal, animal, animal… animal.” Followed by some other lyrics. I have tried many search sites, but can’t come up with the right song. Can someone please help? Thanks!

Thank you for the suggestion. However, that was not the song that I heard back in the late 70s. This song (fragment) was slower, with a steady pounding beat. I did not hear the complete song, just caught a portion on the car radio. Wish I could remember more about it.
