Default Psychonauts - Hips For Scotland

This one is gonna be easy for a native which I'm not. I've almost deciphered it by myself, but there're few things left, that I'd like to clarify. Anybody?

    Link to the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2nQhO-jV9E

    Thanks in advance!

    Here goes the text:

    I swear it's getting easier
    This "leaving things to fate"
    Just swimming in the moment
    That kept us both awake

And now we're talking through [your spirits]?
    And flowing with the tide
But if your mind's just [slip up]?
    ????[tell what spare us all]?

    You won't catch me denying
[That I didn't ever mean to say]?
And if you asked me for the details
That my heart keeps stored away

What d'you expect [the boy] to say?

    I know we're hardly brothers
But I've... [I've thanked] you in the past
I don't owe you any favours
But if you've got the [??] to ask

And if you [?] keep you ears wide open
I'll be as painless as I can
    The whiskey set her screaming
With the wine she was no lady
    [A night] turned into weakness
[And weak] just turn things crazy

'Coz she's got hips for Scotland
And just loved watch in her eyes

She was music to my ears

    {Terrific riff}

[I almost hate] to say it
But she was hardly being an angel
[And I'm sure] you hate to hear it
Next to her I was no saint

We were just counting all our blessings
    And living day by day

    What else can I say...

Guess you got most of it right (minor corrections thought). But can’t be so sure — like you, I’m not a native speaker.

    I swear it's getting easier
    This "leaving things to fate"
    Just swimming in the moment
    That kept us both awake

And now we're talking through experience
    And flowing with the tide
But if your mind’s just slipped up
And tell what spared us all

    You won't catch me denying
That I’d never meant to fail
And if you asked me further details
That my heart keeps stirred away
What did you expect the boy to say?

    I know we're hardly brothers
But I've… I’ve thanked you in the past
And I owe you any favours
But if you've got the strength to ask

And if you keep you ears wide open
I'll be as painless as I can

    The whiskey set her screaming
With the wine she was no lady
    A [k]night turned into weakness
And we just turned things crazy

'Coz she's got hips for Scotland
And I just love watching her eyes
She was music to my ears

And I almost hate to say it
But she was hardly being an angel
And I'm sure you’d hate to hear it
Next to her I was no saint

We were just counting all our blessings
    And living day by day
    What else can I say?

Very good! I am a native speaker and the only suggestions I'd make are:

    3rd verse...
"And if you ask me for the details
That my heart keeps stowed away"

and in Scotland whisky is spelt without the "e"..

    Cheers!
