SOLVED: "Sun scorches her/air, she don't care."

I have the song here in a video, but I haven't been able to identify it going on five years now. It still torments me.

The lyrics I can make out are:

"Sun scorches her/air, she don't care
Moon is starting to show, she don't know."

"[Something, something], now [something] over
Lay my head on her shoulder again."

[Something] dream, live in sorrow
Warmer Spring is bound to follow again."

Sounds like Wheatus or Smashing Pumpkins, or something.

This is from a song called Rocket Flare by a band from Texas called Comet. The song appears of their 1996 record Chandelier Musings. Hope this is helpful.
