80's song no one seems to know

Hello,
This is my first post here so please bear with me , I have been trying to find out the name of this song for years and no one seems to know it , I'm fairly sure it is an 80's song not 100 % on that though. Although I don't completely know the words I have a reasonable idea of the chorus , I'll try to lay the song out the best I can , the parts in brackets are like backup singer , anyhow here goes nothing

Well that's all I got , I really hope someone can help me with this , the lyics won't be spot on as I haven't heard this song in 20 years and unfortunately I can only remember that piece of the course.

Yes good points , i have been thinking about theses as after thoughts,
Country=Australia
Singer=male
Tempo=slowish , kind of heart break song

Yes it's a pop song , could be a one hit wonder , has a feargal sharkey feel about it
