SOLVED: Looking for a song with the lyrics: as I make my way across the sea

I heard a song in the grocery story, sung by a woman accompanied by piano. Very subdued song, high voice, not really powerful. She talks about not having to be someone for anyone else. It sounds like maybe adult alternative, not loud, perhaps a song from the last few years. Here is a lyric in there that says "as I make my way across the sea there is no one waiting there for me"...
