    OK guys,
This is has been driving me insane for a while now.
I remember a song from a long time ago that was (I thnk) on some kinda album compilation a la Woodstock / Monterey Pop era (I think).
I can't for the life of me remember who sings it.
The track *might* be called "Round and Round".
It is a bunch of (surely stoned) people just singing with Kazoos and banging some bongos or something.
The only lyrics I remember are:
"My baby's got something I really like / need..."
    cue people playing Kazoos: "dah-dah-dah-dah....dah-dah-dah-dah-dah"
"Everytime she hugs me, she almost (breaks my back????)..."
"We go round and round (yeah., me and my baby?)..."
    "We go round and round..."
    "We' goin' round and round"
    Ad-Lib....

It's a crazy song. I did know who sang it, way back in the day but i've totally lost the info I had.
I'm sure it's from the era of bands like Soft Machine, Country Joe and The Fish etc but I just can't remember.

Any info to put me out of my misery would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Try the following songs with "round and round" type lyrics:

"On A Carousel" by The Hollies (1967)
"Here We Go 'Round The Mulberry Bush" by Traffic (1968)
    "Dizzy" by Tommy Roe (1969)

The lyric "Everytime she hugs me, she almost (breaks my back????)..." reminds me of the songs:
"Lola" by The Kinks (1970) or "Suffragette City" by David Bowie (1972)

The lyric "My baby's got something I really like" reminds me of "My Baby Loves Lovin" lyrics by White Plains (1970)

But you got me on the kazoo, too many songs to list...

    You just saved my sanity.
It's so good to hear this crazy track again. It reminds me of sitting around midnight camp-fires, with friends in my youth, bleary-eyed, carefree and legless, dancing until sunrise. Happy days indeed.
    Thanks a bunch. You're a star!
