SOLVED!: Old '60s / '70s stoner song. 'Round 'n' Round'? Maybe from a live comp?
OK guys,
This is has been driving me insane for a while now.
I remember a song from a long time ago that was (I thnk) on some kinda album compilation a la Woodstock / Monterey Pop era (I think).
I can't for the life of me remember who sings it.
The track *might* be called "Round and Round".
It is a bunch of (surely stoned) people just singing with Kazoos and banging some bongos or something.
The only lyrics I remember are:
"My baby's got something I really like / need..."
cue people playing Kazoos: "dah-dah-dah-dah....dah-dah-dah-dah-dah"
"Everytime she hugs me, she almost (breaks my back????)..."
"We go round and round (yeah., me and my baby?)..."
"We go round and round..."
"We' goin' round and round"
Ad-Lib....
It's a crazy song. I did know who sang it, way back in the day but i've totally lost the info I had.
I'm sure it's from the era of bands like Soft Machine, Country Joe and The Fish etc but I just can't remember.
Any info to put me out of my misery would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
