    I'm from California, I heard this on a mix CD one of my friends gave me In 2011. Id listen to it all the time but lost it when my car was totaled in 2012. In my mind the singer was a solo artist played guitar. Soft/high voice maybe? I did my best play the tune on my guitar but i'm most likely off-key and i only remember that portion. This particular song had no lyrics. I think but i'm not sure, he had a Michael Bouble kind of voice. https://youtu.be/OBa8SwAKMAY

    its not that, but thank you for the try, this song was a short guitar only piece, it may have been accompanied by a synth towards the end but the song was majority acoustic using that tune or a variation of. Thank you for trying though!
