Please Help Identify These Two Tough Songs

Hello everyone. Here are two song requests. I tried to hum both parts that I remember.

This is a soft rock/easy listening ballad. It came out in the 80s or 90s, although I would feel confident saying that it wasn't near the new Millennium. It can be anyone who sings this song, but simply guessing this may have been a female.

Additional info for this song. The part that I tried to hum is actually played by some sort of bell keyboard I believe. Very similar to the instrument used in the intro to Kenny G's "Forever In Love". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u88brVVKrWw

This actually is a request I made years ago. I did say that it was solved, but actually I ended up hearing a little part of the song as I was walking someplace. Turns out it actually was the way I described it, and not "Papa Don't Preach". OK, the song is a Rap/Hip-Hop song. There is a slight possibility that it was RnB, but the slight beat gives off a Rap song. I'd say between 90s - early 00s. The first link is me humming while tapping something to provide some beat, as the song had during the Violin part. The second link is my posting of the Violin harmonic notes.
