و كان يا ما كان
And once upon a time
كان في اميرة بمملكة بها الكون
There was a princess her a kingdom was the universe
كرمالا خلق السهر شعرا بيغزل لون بلون
For her sake, the wakefulness been created. A poetry weaving (spinning) color with color
لعيونا يغنوا البشر حراسا شمس و قمر
For her eyes, the humans sang. Her guards are a sun and a moon
كانت تنزل من قصرا تبرم تزور الفقرا
She come down from her place, walk around to visit the poor
مرة من خلف البواب شافت شب من الشباب
Once from behind the doors, she saw a young man!

هي مزينة بالألماس وهو واحد من هاناس
She was dressed with diamonds and he was just a common subject
ما بعمرو شاف الدهب بعيونوا القهر انكتب
He never saw gold before in his life. In his eyes oppression has been written
وباليل و بعد ما الكون غطى باعتم العيون
And in the night and after the universe covered eyes with its darkness
طلبت منو عشيقا يكون عانق جنونا بجنون
She asked him to be her lover, and embrace madness with madness
بأرض بعيدة .. عحدود الدنيي .. بمملكة بها الكون
In a far land, on the borders of the world…in a kingdom in this universe

كلما بشتقلك .. بقدر كل الحكي و السكوت
Whenever I miss you… I evaluate all the talk and the silence
بقدر كل لحظة بتموت..انتي فيها مو موجودة
I evaluate every dying moment in which you are not exist!

كلما بشتقلك .. بعلي فوق الغيم عيونك
Whenever I miss you, I raise my eyes over the clouds.
حتي اشوفك وين متكوني
So I can see you wherever you are
مهما كنتي عني بعيده
No matter how far you were!
