    Thumbs up Righeira - No tengo dinero (Spanish to English)

    No tengo dinero, oo-oh
    No tengo dinero, no, no, no, no
    No tengo dinero, oo-oh
    No tengo dinero, no, no, no, no

    Los modernos lujos viven aquí
    En el lugar más alto de mi ciudad
    Se nutren de imágenes y de relais
    Yo quisiera estar ahí más

    No tengo dinero, oo-oh
    No tengo dinero, no, no, no, no
    No tengo dinero, oo-oh
    No tengo dinero, no, no, no, no

    Los nuevos italianos crean aquí
    Impávidos y fieros de la velocidad
    Neo psichico es el sintético edén
    Yo quisiera estar ahí más

    No tengo dinero, oo-oh
    No tengo dinero, no, no, no, no
    No tengo dinero, oo-oh
    No tengo dinero, no, no, no, no

    Neo psichico
    Besado de una dea tu eres
    Patria de estos te crea

    Neo psichico
    Besado de una dea tu eres
    Patria de estos te crea

    No tengo dinero, oo-oh
    No tengo dinero, no, no, no, no
    No tengo dinero, oo-oh
    No tengo dinero, no, no, no, no

    Los modernos lujos viven aquí,
    en el lugar más alto de mi ciudad;
    se nutren de imágenes y de relés.
    Yo quisiera estar ahí más

    The modern luxuries all live here,
    In the highest place of my town
    Nurtured by pictures and by relays1
    I'd like to be there a lot more

    Los nuevos italianos crean aquí,
    impávidos y fieros de la velocidad.
    Neo-psíquico es el sintético edén;
    yo quisiera estar ahí más.

    The young Italians create [wonders] here,2
    Non-plussed and wild for speed2
    [To be a] New psychic is a synthetic Eden,3
    I'd like to be there some more.

    Neo-psíquico,
    besado de una idea tú eres;
    patria de éstos te crean.

    You mental,
    Kissed by an idea you are;
    You are created by a Land4 full of them [party-goers]

    Notes:

    This is a song about having no money in the late 70s-early 80s. This will be important, trust me.

    [word], in translation, is for something implied, but not said.

    1. Nurtured by pictures and by relays It's a reference to colour TV, which didn't arrive to Europe until the early 70s, and Latin America in the late 70s. Also, it was really expensive back in the day, so people with no money still had b/w (black and white) tellies. A relay was the device the early remote controls used to “talk” with the TV, also really expensive. I was born in 94 and I had a telly in my home with no remote control, only a dial xD
    2. The young Italians create [wonders] here, / Non-plussed and wild for speed Ferrari reference.
    3. [To be a] New psychic is a synthetic Eden It's either an ecstasy or LSD reference. Unlike in first-world countries today, back in the day designer drugs were really expensive.
    4. You are created by a Land full of them [party-goers] More drug references. Also, «idea» is feminine (it takes «esta»), and that's how I know the song refers to people («ellos», masculine) in general. Well, specifically, party-goers, because they make the drug reference again («psíquico», aside from “medium” and “psychic”, it also means “mental” —like “deranged”). «Patria» is a really complicated word that has no direct English translation, but if it's a «Patria de éstos», it probably is something like “the true Land of the party people”.
