Default Help Me find this Classic Rock Song

    Hi,

I have been looking for this song for about a year now... I only heard it once on the radio, so either it's rare or I have bad luck. It was played on a local L.A. radio station that plays Classic Rock, 95.5 KLOS. The singer is male. Here is what I remember of the lyrics...

If you can't kill this feeling
    <something about his soul>
If you can't kill this feeling
How can I, yeah I, let it go?

I wish I could remember more... I have tried Googling various forms of these lyrics and haven't been able to find them. I may have one or two of the words off, but that's what it sounded like... or maybe the song is that rare.

    Thanks for your help!

Sounds, so to speak, like "I Can't Fight This Feeling" by Chicago.

I cant fight this feeling any longer
Yet, I'm still afraid to let it flow
What started out as friendship has grown stronger.
I only wish I had the strength to let it show.

I tell myself that I can't hold out forever.
I say there is no reason for my fear.
'Cause I feel so secure when we're together.
You give my life direction, you make eveything so clear.

Even as I wander, I'm keeping you in sight.
You're a candle in the window on a cold dark winter's night.
And I'm getting closer than I ever though I might.

And I can't fight this feeling anymore.
I've forgotten what I started fighting for.
It's time to bring this ship into the shore.
And throw away the oars forever.
'Cause I can't fight this feeling anymore.
I've forgotten what I started fightin' for.
And if i have to crawl upon the floor.
    Come crashing through the door.
Baby I can't fight this feeling anymore.

My life has been such a whirl wind since I saw you.
I've been running around in circles in my mind.
And it always seems that I'm following you girl.
'Cause you take me to the places that I thought I'd never find.

And through away the oars forever.
'Cause I can't fight this feeling anymore.
I've forgotten what I started fightin' for.
And if i have to crawl upon the floor.
    Come crashing through your door.
Baby I can't fight this feeling anymore.

Try "COMIN' DOWN WITH LOVE" by FOGHAT

logan1, I believe the song "I Can't Fight This Feeling" is by REO Speedwagon (not Chicago)

Atmaster, you are correct. Don't know how I did that. I really like REO except for that song. Maybe I tried to move it over to Chicago. I liked them in the beginning before they went "soft". Thanks for catching that. I really can hear Chicago singing that song. Think I'll go to bed.

Yeah, I know what you mean.
I spend way too much shut-eye time on this hobby.
(I agree that Chicago could do a great cover of the Reo song)

    Default Still Looking

Hi guys, thanks. Unfortunately it's neither of those two songs.

I wish I remembered more about the song. I thought when I got home and looked up the lyrics I had heard, I'd immediately find it. It was played on a Classic Rock station, but for all I know it could have been produced last year. All I know for certain is I've never heard it before or since and I listen to that station quite often.

I just know those four lines are going to be stuck in my head until I find it. Anyone else have any ideas?

    Thanks!

    Try the following two songs:

"Let Go" by Kenny Wayne Shepherd
And my heart just keeps on bleeding
From the hole that drains my soul
And if I can't kill the feeling now
How do I, oh I, let go?

    "She's So Evil" by CHINCHILLA
it's a shame to kill the feeling
    only for her stupid pride
    standing in the gutter
the bottle is my only friend
