Free

Verse 1
I used to gather and form a circle at the end of every day
And tell every person who was there that we'll get away someday
Some thought that I was foolish
And others thought I was right
I tried to be optimistic
Even if many people were hopeless

Verse 2
Days were long and nights were very cold
We used to huddle to keep each other warm
I had friends but most were enemies
They thought I was always misleading them
It was very hard from the start
Luckily most of us didn't pull apart
It wasn't the time to give up
I knew that I'd have my liberty

Bridge
In the end, I will cry tears of happiness
In the end, I will stand and smile
I will walk out on my own and run around
I will get down on my knees and touch the ground

Chorus
I am finally free
And I will never be a prisoner again
I always ran and hid away
But all those days are behind me
