    Default Hallowed be thy Name

    Hallowed be thy Name

    VERSE 1
A sparkle in the distant sky,
    A pious, cosmic lullaby
Gives way to a child dressed in white.
    Hallowed be thy name.

She guards me when the nights are cold
when doubt and fear consume my soul.
Her tenderness, it keeps me whole
    Hallowed be thy name.

    VERSE 2
There’s blood on the leaves as evil blooms
The sway of the trees and searing fumes
Gives way to a figure cloaked in black
    Darkness be thy name

It stalks the pages of my mind
    debasing what it leaves behind
It turns the Jackals blood to wine.
    Darkness be thy name.

    CHORUS x 2
The time has come to pick a side
Do you follow the light or will you drown in the tide?
Do bloody thoughts provoke the beast?
Or will grace and hope bring inner peace?

    VERSE 3
Inside the light, I feel her love
A twinkle from the sky above
that guides me through the blinding days
    Hallowed be thy name

Her reverence rests within my core
which lifts me every time I fall
With gentleness, she helps me soar
    Hallowed be thy name

    VERSE 4
Through restless sleep the spectre calls,
to tie the binds that stain the walls
with pagan lies and wicked guile
    Darkness be thy name.

It conjures up my broken years
and mocks the bedrock of my fears
    Seducing with an inner sneer
    Darkness be thy name.

    CHORUS x 2
The time has come to pick a side
Do you follow the light or will you drown in the tide?
Do bloody thoughts provoke the beast?
Or will grace and hope bring inner peace?

    CODA x 4
Hallowed be thy name. Darkness be thy name

So descriptively written. This makes me want to put the pencil down and paint a picture.
