Default Searching a song for 30 years

    Hello,
I heard a song about 30 years ago and from time to time I try to find it. Maybe somebody here can help.

I have very little information about it.
    Singer (I believe): Sister Mary

    Lyric fragments:
    "Your fathers came from ireland"
    "They would be ashamed"

I know this is very little. But I hope somebody has any idea.

    Thank you
    Heinz

Your info is too little. What style is it, is that a female voice etc..

Thank you for your reply. I know that my input is hardly a hint. It is a female voice, the style is kind of ballad.
Maybe somebody knows the two little lyric fragments.

    Thank you again

Is it American or Irish? I had a quick look, could that be Mary Black or Mary O'Hara?
Your best bet is to ask a site that specializes in Irish or Irish-American songs and ask them direct, they might know
    cheers
