Question Stelios Rokkos - Kati kano Lathos (How does the English Translation look to you?)

I was told it was the hardest translation he has ever done.

    ---------------------------------------------

    I went through deep seas
    I took roads often blocked
    dreams caught flames
    I never found out why

I went through nights like prisons
    lost is the mental order
I took the corners at full speed
    with my heart's automobile

I went through a lot, mountains of lies
I saw and I suffered before I reached
    your dry land
I went through a lot, but never without courage
you should know I wasn't afraid
    not once

I'm doing something wrong and it baffles me
I fall in love with the turgid words
I'm doing something wrong with what's asked of me
but I also have a history with you
I'm doing something wrong and it's messing with me
I fall in love with the turgid words
I'm doing something wrong with what's asked of me
but I also have a history with you

I went through so much cold
    covered in my double sheets
turned my back to the northern wind
    dreams made of cardboard

I went through a lot, mountains of lies
I saw and I suffered before I reached
    your dry land
I went through a lot, but never without courage
you should know I wasn't afraid
    not once

I'm doing something wrong and it baffles me
I fall in love with the turgid words
I'm doing something wrong with what's asked of me
but I also have a history with you
I'm doing something wrong and it's messing with me
I fall in love with the turgid words
I'm doing something wrong with what's asked of me
but I also have a history with you

    It's ok asasas.
I personally prefer to avoid the exact translation.
I'm for a more "fluid" description of the meaning of the lyrics than the precise translation of words which may be hard for the reader to understand.
"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to?
You will never find that life for which you are looking.
When the gods created man they allotted to him death,
but life they retained in their own keeping"

Can you provide your own translation of this song, I would like to see how poetic you can make it.

    Beg your pardon?
Who are you, to openly want to test my translating skills?

The translator of the song asked me to ask you that.
