SOLVED:Need help finding song

I'm new so hopefully this is going to the correct forum. I am looking for a song title or just the artist from an early 90s tune. I have very little to go on. Female vocalist, kinda folky and quirky. I only remember lyrics like "going to the laundry" or "going to the grocery" seems like it was basically a song about walking down the street. It got some play on our local rock station. Wish I had more to offer. Been trying to find this for several years.
