I've written this quite a while ago as a piano ballad when I was going through some hard times. Not sure how good it is though. Let me know what you think

Just give me a reason, give me a sign
Heaven come down from that cradle of lies
Raindrops fall on my parade
- keep dancing

Bring me a bottle, go and get me fixed
Cause life is so rarely simply black and white
It's the choices we make that decide our way
And we break

[Chorus]
When my memory breaks, the shadows are low
I've suffered enough, I took a wrong turn...
Yes, I was blind, too blind to see
Until realization came that it's not over yet

Tried to cry out, though my words long forgotten
Taken by the wind that blew away my pride
I watched all my plans slowly dissolve
In the rain

In a drunken haze we said 'live and let die'
Then turned 'round to see it all go up in flames
It doesn't take long for us to succumb
to the strain

[Chorus]

It's not over yet...

When my memory breaks the shadows are low
I've suffered enough, I took a wrong turn
Time is so short and it's wasted on us
I threw mine away chasing shadows in vain
Yes, I was blind, too blind to see
Until realization came
That it's not over yet
