I'm just starting to wonder, what will be the classics in Greek music 50 years from now... Mazonakis and Vandi with "amanes"? Mixalis Emirlis " I pipa tis Eirinis"?

In Greek as you know "γλώσσα" means "tongue" AND also "language"

The Greekism : "μπερδέυτηκε η γλώσσα" literally translates to "the tongue got tangled" and means "tongue - twist" ... when you go to say something and the tongue gets "brlbrlrlrlrbbrllrd" .... lol ....

... and YES! ... that kind of thing happens A LOT with people that learn a "third" language ... lol ... I say "third" because THAT IS WHEN THINGS GET ALL TANGLED UP!!! ... With the "fourth and so on I would imagine it's ok ... !!!

No ... that's a wrong comment to make ... I find that it ONLY gets EXTREMELY confusing when I am trying to learn a "FOREIGN" language at a "FOREIGN" location ... for example, learn "SPANISH outside Spain" ... meaning, I need to be "WITHIN" the "home of the language" ... or 2ith "natives" of the language ...

This ofcourse, is my experience as I "grow older" ... as a child I learned languages with GREAT ease ... Greek and English at first, ... then later on some Italian and more French ... whenever I had the opportunity to "live" atleast for a while ...

Of course you're allowed to ask, Omorfi. Actually I mentioned it before, at my beginnings on this forum. I'm from Romania.

omorfi mou .... all these other people are going to be so happy to see you again ... ... an "Aphroditian" Libran 9 .... ...

even if I am sorry to see you go ... I am happy for them, that they'll have you ...

By the way, I LOVE getting to know different "things" from languages ... so, your own "language-isms" respectively , are GREATLY appreciated by me ...

Well I guess that's the best way to learn a foreign language of course...

I have had German, French and Spanish in school.. But what do I remember really? Most is gone from my head now, even though I did very well in languages.

The first Greek I learned was actually as a child, at a beach in Skiathos. I was playing with some Greek kids and they kept saying "pws se lene??", and they said "me lene.. something". And then I replied "me lene Alexandra", and we were together there a while
