Default SOLVED:Synth pop song from the 80s?

    Hi,

I've had a song stuck in my head for days now, my wife doesn't even believe it's a real song, so who knows?

I only have tiny bits and pieces from the song

    • The intro is marked by a synth di di diidi di diddi di which repeats in different notes. The most similar example I can give is A-ha - take on me
    • The sound is sort of upbeat
    • The singing is in almost a whisper and almost somber
    • I have no actual lyrics to go on
    • It is not Susanne Vega - Tom's Diner. The di di sound comes from an instrument, not a person
    • I think it has an 80s vibe

I pray to the forum gods for guidance as this is driving me crazy
