Du er veldig snill og søt til meg... You are very kind and sweet to me..

Til deg, is " to you".

Drøm søtt, is "dream sweet". Søte drømmer is "sweet dreams". Basically the same.

Actually I have to correct my Norwegian, this sentence sounds bad when I say "til meg", the right to use is "mot meg".

and now like "sirenceto" would say ... how do you say "Καλά Χριστούγεννα"

"Καλή Χρονιά" ... "Ευτυχισμένος ο Καινούργιος Χρόνος" ...

and by the way, excuse me while I get something to eat ... my food "arrived" and hadn't had a "decent meal" for two days ... which may "explain" my needing SIX hours insted of a couple ... ... ... LOL LOL LOL

    Καλά Χριστούγεννα = God Jul

Καλή Χρονιά - Godt Nytt År

Ευτυχισμένος ο Καινούργιος Χρόνος... this is new to me does it mean the same as happy new year?

... ok, back to "Greek school", then ... ...

In Greek, there are more than ONE words to describe "the year" ...

one of them is "Χρονιά" ... and as you may have realised is a "female noun" ... and is more closely associated with "fruitfulness" ... !!! ... meaning, this is the word you would use to describe how the "crops' did this year" ... or, how the "wine" is of that year ... BUT also, with relevance to "fruitfuleness" in our lives !!! ... for example, "Το 2006, ήταν δύσκολη χρονιά για μένα" ... !!! ...

    you "see" ... ?!? ...

Ah ok... Well I know Greek is a more colorful language.. We don't have so many ways to express things in Norwegian

... then, there is the word "Έτος" ... and although it has a "typical male ending" ... it IS in fact a "neutral" ... "ΤΟ Έτος" ...

Now, this word is associated with more "formal" usage of "the year" ... for example, when the government announces the "economic strategy of the year" ... or, even in the "academic" sense of "the year" ... "Η Μαρία είναι στο πρώτο έτος της Νευροχειρουργικής" ... !!! ...

more coming up ... please, wait "mot meg" ... ...
