    Default A ridiculuosly tough one

This one was a song on the radio in Brazil around Nov. 1989 to Feb. 1990, at the same time Phil Collins' "Another Day in Paradise" was charting. It featured a male lead singer, and the style was somewhat similar to Tears for Fears. All I can remember of the lyric was something like: "I want ***, I want ***, I don't want ***".

took a look at the billboard charts during the 18 weeks that Phil's song was on the top 50 charts and saw that possible Tears for Fears sounding groups on it were Cutting Crew with "Everything But My Pride" and Howard Jones with "Everlasting Love", and even the actual Tears For Fears were on it with "Woman in Chains"... none with lyrics exactly as you describe, but interestingly, the Cutting Crew song did have it's ending lyrics of:

    "...Forgiveness
'cause the last thing that I want
    Is to see you cry
No the last thing that I want
    Is to see you cry
No the last thing that I want
    Is to see you cry"

Thanks Bobo, unfortunately it's not either of those suggestions. But I do like both of those songs and wasn't familiar with them, so thank you for introducing me to them!

Unfortunately not it, but a great song! Not sure about the hats in the video though, lol.
