    Red face hello there

    Hello all,

    my name is Eleimon (Ελεήμων = merciful, charitable, gracious and whatever else it means...you name it...it is just that), I am originally Greek and I stumbled upon this site while looking for some lyrics for a song that I heard and really liked...so, I hope I can be of some assistance...

    υ, ι and η are just different vowels in our vocabulary and there are basically spelling rules that tell us how to write words and when to use each one.

    for example:
    hand (or arm in many cases) = χέρι
    goose = χήνα
    exist (as in the verb) = υπάρχω

    it all gets complicated...
    if you are really interested in the whole thing though, I will try to find the grammar book that we did at school and perhaps you will be able to buy it online so you can see what goes where...

    On a different note now, as fas as these words are concerned, let's see what we can do:

    erota mou apiste = Έρωτα μου άπιστε = my disloyal (faithless) love
    giatriko = γιατρικό = remedy (medicament)
    profhteies = προφητείες = prophecies (predictions)
    akros tolmiro = άκρως τολμηρό = really naughty (spicy even...in an erotic way of course!)
    katalliles proypotheseis = κατάλληλες προϋποθέσεις = appropriate conditions
    rossiki rouleta = ρώσσικη ρουλέτα = russian roulette

    hope this helps,
    take care,
    eleimon
