Default Song about grandfather who reads note left by wife as kids at her funeral

I heard a song once years ago, which I have only heard once and was quite moved by it. I believe it was a country song but perhaps it was by a Christian artist as well.

The song was slow and was a story told by a grandson. His grandfather had told him when he and his grandmother were young, they used to meet by this tree by a stream. One day he went there to find her gone. She left him a note that read something like "I'm sorry I can't be here now, but we'll be together soon."
    They married and grew old.
At his grandmother's funeral, his grandfather pulled out that old note and read it again and this time it applied to heaven. The last few lies were something like "With tears in his eyes he read, "I'm sorry I can't be here now, but we'll be together soon"
Has anyone any idea what song this was? I am not even sure how to search for it.
    Thanks

I hope this is it, the only thing I could find.

    Inside Out - Grandma's Note

I read a note my grandma wrote
    back in 1923
Grandpa kept it in his coat
And he showed once to me

He said now son you might not understand
But a long long time ago
Gandma's daddy didn't like me none
But i loved your grandma so

We had this crazy plan to meet
    And run away together
Get married in the first town we came too and live forever
but nailed to the tree where we were supposed to meet, instead
I found this letter, and this is what it said:

If you get there before i do
    Don't give up on me
I'll meet you when my chores are through
I dont knwo how long I'll be
But im not gonna let you down
    Darling wait and see
'Cause between now and then, till i see you again
I'll be loveing you, love me

I read these words just hours before
    My grandma passed away
In the doorway of the church where me and grandpa stop to pray
I know i've never seen him cry
    In all my 15 years
but as he read these words to her
His eyes filled up with tears

If you get there before i do
    Don't give up on me
I'll meet you when my chores are through
I dont knwo how long I'll be
But im not gonna let you down
    Darling wait and see
'Cause between now and then, till i see you again
I'll be loveing you, love me

If you get there before i do
    Don't give up on me
I'll meet you when my chores are through
I dont knwo how long I'll be
But im not gonna let you down
    Darling wait and see
'Cause between now and then, till i see you again
I'll be loveing you, love me

You probably won't find the version by Inside Out. Colin Raye does a really nice version of the same song called "Love Me (If You Get There Before I Do)". You should be able to find it easily googling "Love Me".
