    thats what i thought, but people i know say that the band that sings it now isnt the original artist...

    Too often Record Labels own songs sung by artists -- and perhaps this is a sign of the RIAA ripping artists off:

    According to U.S. Copyright Office - Copyright Catalog: Books, Music, etc. it is possible that "SHOUT 2000" legally belongs to "Giant Records."
