Default Kabát - Burlaci: Czech to German or English

I would be really thankful if someone could help me to translate this czech song into german or english...I tried to find a translation but I couldn't.

Konopný lana, tak ty už něco vydrží
zkaženej dech jen čtyři deci pod kůží
    nebe rudý, břízy brzo pokvetou
a chlapy z nudy, baví se ruskou ruletou.
Když svoje lodě proti proudu táhnou,
navzdory všem kamenům, proč jenom touhy po čase vadnou.
Otroci řeky, prach a špína tvrdá zem,
jediná výhra, je tanec smrti s medvědem
a tak si žijou ze dne na den tisíc let,
Burlaci pijou, jak bylo by to naposled.
Když svoje lodě proti proudu táhnou,
navzdory všem kamenům, proč jenom touhy po čase vadnou.

    Otoč se a podívej...

    Ref:
Nebe je temný a mnohem níž
jen vlků dávnej chorál z hor
a já tu marně hledám skrýš
když cesta rovná se nám ztrácí
lidi jsou andělé a nebo draci
a každej dobrej skutek sílu vrací

a toho léta vítr stopy zahladil

    Ref:
Nebe je temný a mnohem níž
jen vlků dávnej chorál z hor
a já tu marně hledám skrýš
když cesta rovná se nám ztrácí
lidi jsou andělé a nebo draci
a každej dobrej skutek sílu vrací

    Ref:
Nebe je temný a mnohem níž
jen vlků dávnej chorál z hor
a já tu marně hledám skrýš
když cesta rovná se nám ztrácí

    Hemp ropes endure much
dirty breath and four deci(litres) under skin
red sky, winds will rise soon
and bored men have fun with a russian roulette.
When they pull their ships against the stream
against all the stones; why all desires fade with time?
Slaves of the river, dust and dirt, hard soil,
the only win would be a death tance with a bear,
and so they live from day to day thousand years
burlaks drink as if it were for the last time
When they pull their ships against the stream
against all the stones; why all desires fade with time?

    So turn yourself and look...

    Ref:
Heaven is dark and much lower
only distant chorus of wolves from mountains
    and I can't find a hiding
when we lose the straight road
    people are angels or dragons
but every good deed gives the strength back
so just turn yourself and look at the ships behind you.

It's not easy in the world of lies and half-truths
on the river bank a harmonica starts to play
and wind covered the marks of that summer
we're like them, there's not so much power in us left.
When we pull our ships against the stream
against all stones, once we'll all touch the bottom.

    Turn yourself and look...

    Ref:

    It seems to me...

    Ref:

    It seems to me...

(burlaks are the workers, who pull the ships in the shallow waters of Volga river; hard, ever-lasting work, opposite of any work where you need to think)

    Porcelaine pigs filled with cash

Please, help! One more time! I like this band so much! Translate this song of KABAT or just tell about what they sing! And I wonder what is MEGAHU?

Měl to delší než Frenky Dlouhán
a nikdo z nás ho neměl rád

šel tudy MegaHu a všechny miloval

Hlavně potom tu mou a taky někdy tvou

Měl to delší než Frenky Dlouhán
a nikdo z nás ho neměl rád

WOW, now this is going to be a tough one

Megahu is not an actual word, it doesn't exist in the dictionary, obviously it has been invented by Kabat
the first idea about the meaning you can get from the CD cover:
    http://www.kabat.cz/CZ/DISKOGRAFIE/10/megahu.html

ok, here the translation, there will be some more references and links to get the real meaning:

To v roce 22 se nám tu narodil
then in the year '22 he was born here
his dad had no job so he threw him (the baby) away
On se však nechtěl dát, začal nám hodně jíst
but he didn't want to give up, started eating a lot
what grew on him then, was like a piston on a VG engine (referring to a huuuuge penis)

Měl to delší než Frenky Dlouhán
he had it (penis) longer than Frankie the Long one - (this refers to a folk song about a tall guy called Frankie the Long one - "long" the folk song is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RTqvESdZRk)

a nikdo z nás ho neměl rád
and nobody from us did like him
(in the folk song the lyrics say that everybody LIKED Frankie the Long one - here nobody likes Megahu, obviosly because of his "advantage")

Megahu was passing by and still laughed
šel tudy MegaHu a všechny miloval
Megahu was passing by and loved everyone

Hlavně potom tu mou a taky někdy tvou
mainly he was after mine (my wife) and sometimes yours
it went smoothly, he banged one after the other

Měl to delší než Frenky Dlouhán
he had it longer than Frankie the long one
a nikdo z nás ho neměl rád
and nobody of us liked him

    Šel tudy....
    Megahu was passing by...

then one Sunday I come home from a party
kufry mi podává, ze dveří MegaHu
and Megahu is in my door passing me my suitcase

    One more song please

    V pekle sudy válej

Jede vlak no a my jedem v něm
    Vlak s ucpaným komínem
    Lidi řvou zmatkujou
    Kdo ví zda to přežijem

    V pekle sudy válej
    Z kotle pára stoupá
    Na stůl nám to dávej
    Ať to s náma houpá

    Zastavit na to není čas
    Musíme jet na doraz
    Připoutat nekecat
    Kdesi protrhla se hráz

    V pekle sudy válej

    Nejlíp to vydejchal
    Mašinfíra s topičem
    Jedou si na koksu
    A zatim neví o ničem

    Strojvůdce je starej satanáš
    Zve nás všechny na guláš
    Vítám vás jedem dál
    Ty nemáš tak tady máš

    Máme tu houby sušený
    Odvar z hlavy makový
    Ale jídelní vůz narvanej
    No prostě věci takový

OMG, you're not making it particularly easy for me
this one's quite tricky and lot of symbolism, not much sense though, not even in original..
however, I'll try to do my best
First of all: "barrel roll"is a game/sport/fun activity where you do this you know the background music - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZOeg9XlOyw

    [QUOTE=Mimi0920;804784]One more song please

    V pekle sudy válej
    They're barrel rolling in hell

Jede vlak no a my jedem v něm
There's a train going and we're in it
    Vlak s ucpaným komínem
a train with a blocked chimney (obviously it is a steam-train)
    Lidi řvou zmatkujou
    People are screaming confused
    Kdo ví zda to přežijem
Who knows whether we'll survive this

    V pekle sudy válej
    They're barrel rolling in hell
    Z kotle pára stoupá
steam is rising from the boiler
    Na stůl nám to dávej
They are putting it on our table
    Ať to s náma houpá
so that it swings with us

    Zastavit na to není čas
We don't have time to stop
    Musíme jet na doraz
We have to roll it to the maximum
    Připoutat nekecat
    Fasten seatbelts, do no talk
    Kdesi protrhla se hraz
    Somewhere there's a dam that's just broken

    V pekle sudy válej
    They're barrel rolling in hell...

    Nejlíp to vydejchal
It turned out to be the best for
    Mašinfíra s topičem
the driver with the fireman (the guy that keeps the fire under the boiler in a steam locomotive)
    Jedou si na koksu
both are riding on the coal/coke ("koks" being the same word for "coal"and "cocaine" - although in a steam locomotive it should be obviously about the coal for the fire, it is clear that the two guys are riding on cocaine)
    A zatim neví o ničem
    and they have no clue

    Strojvůdce je starej satanáš
The trainmaster in an old devil
    Zve nás všechny na guláš
he's inviting us to goulash (goulash - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goulash)
    Vítám vás jedem dál
    Welcome, let's go on
    Ty nemáš tak tady máš
You haven't got any - so this is for you

    Máme tu houby sušený
We have dried mushrooms here (referring to magic mushrooms)
    Odvar z hlavy makový
and a poppy brew ( referring to a traditional medicine against insomnia containing opium)
    Ale jídelní vůz narvanej
but the restaurant wagon is packed up
    No prostě věci takový
    well, things like those..

there's one more verse to the song:

Každej z nás to jinak má
Everyone has it differenent in some way
    Tenhle spí ten pospíchá
This one sleeps, that one rushes
    Záleží na každym
    it depends on the way
Kdo jak si to namíchá -
they mix their dose (literal translation woud be "who how mixes it " - but at this point it is clear that it is about drugs: it depends on the mixture whether you'll be running or sleeping )

I like the expression PATENT NA ROZUM. I repeat it to myself many times a day.
It is an idiom, isn't it? What it exactly means? Is there an English equivalent?
    Claim, pretension to intelligence, maybe?

I don't think there is a proper English equivalent for Patent na rozum - in the translation I used the term "thinks he's a smartass'- I think it's as close as you can get. (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=smartass)

and now to Patent na rozum
"Patent for sense" or "Patent for wisdom" the meaning of it is purely ironic, serves as a description of a person that thinks/believes he/she is the smartest of all. - just like if there was 1 smartest person in the wold, he would surely have the "Patent for wisdom" - if you own the patent on something, you are obviously the only one allowed to use it.

So if you say about your friend "On ma patent na rozum", you don't think he's actually smart, you are only saying that HE thinks he's the smartest one.

    Clear?
