"Until Then" is a sacred song that has been around for a long time, at least
here in the U.S.A. It has been recorded by numerous singers, for example,
by Ray Price. It was written by Stuart Hamblen, and here are the lyrics in
English:
(Stuart Hamblen)
(Until the day God calls me home)
My heart can sing when I pause to remember
A heartache here is but a stepping stone
Along a path that's winding always upward
This troubled world is not my final home.
But until then my heart will go on singing
Until then with joy I'll carry on
Until the day my eyes behold my Saviour
Until the day God calls me home.
--- Instrumental ---
The things of earth will dim and lose their value
If we recall they're borrowed for a while
And things of earth that cause this heart to tremble
Remember there will only bring a smile.
But until then my heart will go on singing
Until then with joy I'll carry on
Until the day my eyes behold my Saviour
Until the day God calls me home...
(End)
I wonder if anyone knows if this song has ever been translated
into Spanish? If not, I'll try to do the translation myself so my
wife can sing it in our church, which is here close to Mexico, and
our services are in Spanish. It would be great, though, if someone
else had already done the translation, but I don't know who to ask
or where to look...
